- Kathryn McGlynn, Hypnotist & Motivational Coach -- Our guest speaker will teach us how to deal with situational stress, determine and set goals, etc.
- Matthew Phaneuf of BioSurfaces will speak about establishing a local discount card.
- David Teller of Ryan Insurance, Inc., will address small business insurance needs.
- Janet Eames will talk briefly about the Ashland Garden Club.
- We'll announce the winner of the ABA Scholarship and present a $1,000 check.

"Business Strategies for Slow Periods" -- Participate in a discussion with local business owners about how to navigate through the slow periods. Panelists will include Glenn Travis of GMT Home Designs, Inc., Bob DePeron of Money-Wise Solutions, and Dianna Hopper of Di's Little Friends Playcare.

Rediscover Ashland 2007
Saturday, June 9, from 10 to 3, Downtown Ashland (rain date June 10). Only $30 for ABA members to set up a table. Sign up now. There will be activities for everyone to enjoy including:
- Third annual Chili Contest co-sponsored by the Ashland Lion's Club
- Field games for kids and adults
- Open houses at Town Hall and Fire Station
- Booths displaying products and services of many local businesses
- Music, contests, and other fun things still to be determined
Blood Drive
The Greater Ashland Lions is sponsoring a blood drive for the Metro West Medical Center. It will be held at the American Legion Hall on Thursday, May 31 from 4 to 8 p.m. For more information, please contact either the blood donor room at the hospital at 508-383-1230, or Cindy Leacu at 508-380-3953.
Public Service Announcement
Ashland electronic recycling is on Saturday, June 2, from 9 a.m. to 12 noon. More information can be found on the Town Web site.
American Legion Events
The Carnival is coming to the new Ashland High School, June 27 through July 1 (5 days). They are expecting 5,000 to 6,000 visitors. Also, a Motorcycle Stunt Show will be held at the Middle School on August 11 (rain date August 12). Sign up for a booth by June 13. It's $100 for each event or $150 if you sign up for both.
