ABA Holiday Potluck at Stones Public House:
Wednesday, December 5, starting at 7:00 p.m.

The annual Potluck Dinner will be held at Stones Public House on Wednesday, December 5. Come at 7:00 p.m. and stay as long as you'd like! ABA members (with one guest) are invited. We are planning some fun activities for your enjoyment – Ashland trivia, door prizes, and other surprises. RSVP by Saturday, December 1, to let us know how many people will be coming and what food item you will be bringing (appetizer, salad, entrée, dessert). Please contact Dianna Hopper at 508-736-3724 or Bob DePeron at 508-816-3312. Space is limited, so RSVP early.

We would like each business to bring an inexpensive wrapped gift that can be used as a door prize. In keeping with the tradition of the ABA, we will also be collecting food items for the Ashland Food Pantry. Please remember to bring your donation.

Presentations/Speakers:
If any members are interested in giving a presentation at future ABA meetings, please contact the officers at officers@ashlandbusinessassociation.com.

Does anyone know of any professional speakers whose presentation would be beneficial to members of the ABA? We are in the process of putting together a schedule for 2008 and would welcome your suggestions. Send the contact information to Claudette Rowe at Claudette.rowe@knowledgepoints.com.

Welcome Baskets
We are continuing to deliver welcome baskets to new residents of Ashland. The baskets are being assembled as needed so it’s not too late for you to participate. If you want to contribute to the baskets, please contact Kou Hang at 508-881-1130.

"Business After Hours"
If you are interested in hosting an after hours event at the library or your place of business, please contact Dianna Hopper, 508-736-3724. We are exploring alternative ways of handling the after hours and the monthly meeting itself, which may include starting the meeting at 5:30 versus 7:00. Stay tuned.

New Initiatives
The ABA has an opportunity to create a unique “Map of Ashland” which will be distributed at a variety of businesses and government locations in town. Members will be able to advertise their business at affordable rates. We are forming a committee to work on this project. Please contact Bob DePeron at 508-816-3312 or David Teller at 508-380-0555. This is your chance to get involved. We need volunteers.

Town News/Ashland Emergency Fund
The Town of Ashland is selling old street signs. Proceeds from the sale will be donated to the Ashland Emergency Fund. There is a list of the signs on the Town’s Web site. You may also contact the Board of Selectmen for more information.
