The basic day's schedule consists of a theme-based curriculum:

8-9 am: Arrival, breakfast, and free choices with theme-based ideas provided

9-9:30 am: Mat-chat time – songs, fingerplays, game, story, discuss other theme-related ideas

9:30-10:30 am: Acting on ideas, creative play

10:30-11:30 am: Gross motor/outdoors

11:30 am-2:30 pm: Lunch, cleanup, story, songs, rest

3-4 pm: Science, cooking, creating

4-4:30 pm: Games and/or outdoors, departures 

4:30 pm: Departures

This schedule is subject to change based on the various needs of children in the program.

At  Di's Little Friends Playcare/preschool, children are encouraged and inspired to consider many options for learning and growing. 

I believe that at all ages of development, children have a limitless capacity for learning. 

I provide an enriching curriculum -- mostly child-initiated and based on their interests.

I encourage a lot of constructive social interaction within the group.
