Rediscover
Ashland 2006
So far there have already been two planning meetings for Rediscover Ashland
2006. Share your ideas and enthusiasm at the next planning meeting, at
Sunnyside Café from 1 to 3 p.m. on Friday, March 3. Or call
the Rediscover Ashland Committee chairperson, Nadine Heaps, at 508-881-6680.
Current thinking is to have a Treasure Hunt that lasts all summer, to allow participants to visit more businesses and organizations. Saturday, June 10, will be the kickoff date for Rediscover Ashland, and more activities will coincide with the ten summer concerts. Prizes will be awarded at each event, with the finale and grand prize award happening September 16, as part of Ashland Day.
Nadine asks that we think about three questions: 1) What makes Ashland so special? 2) How can we reach out better to our neighbors? 3) How can we make this a better event for Ashland residents, businesses, and organizations -- so it's win-win for all?

Business Card Racks available for members
- The Friends of the Library have two new business card racks, and would like to have a stack of cards from every possible ABA member business and organization. The Friends plan to put out appropriate business cards that will tie in with specific FOL events. Note that cards will be displayed ONLY during a Friends of the Library event. (The Library will not display them full time.) See Janet Eames if you're interested in having your cards used in this way. To learn about upcoming FOL events, visit www.friendsoftheashlandlibrary.com.
- TD Banknorth (Shaw's Plaza) now has a rack to display cards for 12 ABA members. See Sam Cooley if you'd like her to display your cards -- first-come, first-served!
-
Do you have room for a rack at your business or organization? If so, contact
our Publicity Coordinator, Linda Herring, at 508-881-7213. For locations of
other racks click here.
